Triple-Stone at OECC 2026: The Next Leap in Optical Interconnects for AI Computing

July 3, 2026

From June 28 to July 2, OECC 2026 — one of the most important annual international conferences in the Asia-Pacific region for optoelectronics and optical communications — was held at the Paradise Hotel in Busan, South Korea. The event brought together engineers and researchers to showcase the latest breakthroughs, exchange ideas and foster academic–industry collaboration.

At the conference, Triple-Stone highlighted its OCS, Shuffle Box, CPO/NPO/external-light-source FAU and MCF FIFO — core products and application solutions covering diverse customer requirements, demonstrating the breadth of our technology and product portfolio.

Concurrently, Zongming Zhang, PLM of Triple-Stone, delivered a talk titled "The Next Leap in Optical Interconnects of AI Computing System", systematically explaining how our three product lines — OCS, optical circulators and MCF FIFO — work together to break through the optical interconnect bottleneck of AI computing clusters.

Three Product Lines Driving Customer Energy-Efficiency Gains

512×512 & 300×300 OCS (Optical Circuit Switch)

Based on MEMS optical switching technology, the Triple-Stone 512×512 and 300×300 OCS support non-blocking interconnection of 512×512 and 300×300 peer fiber ports respectively, operate across O, C and L bands, and meet the requirements of 1.6T and next-generation 3.2T high-speed interconnects. With dynamic topology reconfiguration and end-to-end latency as low as nanoseconds — with zero crosstalk during switching — they efficiently serve diverse AI training needs. The devices integrate US Conec ELiMENT® MDC connector solutions, delivering more than three times the fiber-port density of conventional LC duplex connectors per unit space while maintaining low insertion loss.

8-in-1 Arrayed Circulator

The 8-channel arrayed circulator integrates eight independent circulators in one compact package, supporting multi-channel signal routing. Its space-constrained footprint is designed for optical modules and high-density rack deployment. When deployed alongside Triple-Stone OCS, it can effectively double the number of available ports and significantly raise the system bandwidth ceiling.

Shuffle Box

Triple-Stone Shuffle Box is an advanced fiber management solution with pre-optimized internal routing paths, flexibly distributing input fiber signals to multiple output ports according to specific topologies — combining signal distribution, path optimization and space efficiency. It supports full customization of fiber types (single-mode, multimode, PM and custom) and connector interfaces (MPO, SN-MT, MMC and other high-density types), with port orientation configurable for OXC, CPO and AIDC scenarios to match real-world topology requirements.

Hybrid FAU for CPO / NPO / External Light Sources

Triple-Stone's CPO/NPO/external-light-source FAU integrates polarization-maintaining and single-mode fibers in the same array, supporting 36 to 40 channels of massively parallel optical connection — matching the high-density optical engine trend inside CPO/NPO switches. A cumulative tolerance of 0.5µm ensures multi-channel positional accuracy for low-loss coupling between silicon photonic engines and fiber arrays. MT, SN-MT and MMC standard interfaces are available to fit mainstream module and optical engine assembly.

MCF FIFO (Fan-In / Fan-Out)

The miniaturized MCF FIFO (φ≤4.5×L≤45 mm) simplifies internal cabling complexity. Its space-division multiplexing multiplies single-fiber transmission capacity by four, with low crosstalk (<−50 dB) preserving signal integrity for parallel transmission in high-density packaging.

Triple-Stone will continue to deepen core technology R&D, delivering more innovative products and application solutions to empower industry customers and keep the industry moving forward.
